About Nyakach Constituency
The Nyakach constituency is an electoral area in Kenya found in Kisumu County. The constituency has a total land area of 357.2 km2 divided into two administrative divisions of upper Nyakach and Lower Nyakach. The constituency has five electoral wards namely; North, Central, West, South West and South East Nyakach. Furthermore, the administrative units are 14 locations and 28 sub locations with a population of about 133,041 as per the 2009 census.

Disbursement of projects funds
The committee in the financial year 2020-2021 has disbursed kshs 50,000,000 fifty million project funds. The funds are used for infrastructure development in the target schools as per the approved code lists. The infrastructure development includes construction and renovation of classrooms, dormitories and laboratories in the schools. The security sector also benefited from the disbursement in the construction of several police stations and out posts.
